NOA Art 4 Sport continues

18 Vincentian children – 12 girls and six boys – were the beneficiaries of the first of three Art 4 Sport Workshops being held by the National Olympic Academy (NOA), the education arm of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

The NOA’s Education and Culture Commission contracted Collette Jones – Chin as the art expert to conduct all three workshops which are being held at the St Joseph’s Convent, Kingstown.

Art for Sport workshops completes first phase

The National Olympic Academy’s Education and Culture Commission completed the first phase of its Art for Sport workshops for Children aged between 8 - 12. The first workshop was a 2-day mini-camp, and it was held at St Joseph’s Convent, Kingstown. The workshop lasted for 3 hours each day beginning at 9.00 a.m. and the facilitator was Mrs. Collette Jones-Chin.

NOA’s latest production focuses on Beijing

The National Olympic Academy, the educational arm of the National Olympic Committee of St Vincent and the Grenadines, has produced yet another booklet. This one focuses on the Beijing Olympic Games.

The booklet, part sponsored by Coca Cola, highlights the Beijing Olympic Games, which get going on 8 August 2008. It targets children across St Vincent and the Grenadines and beyond.

The National Olympic Academy continues to publish documents aimed at educating Vincentians about sport and the positive values attendant to a life of active participation.

The booklets are free. Copies can be had from the Olympic House, Kingstown park by simply calling, 457 2970 and indicating interest.
