NOC completes another CCCP Course

Another group of Vincentian sport enthusiasts are the beneficiaries of another coaching experience offered by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympic Committee (SVGOC).

Chester Morgan and Woodrow Williams, National Coordinators of the Caribbean Coaching Certification Programme (CCCP), a product of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC), conducted the latest edition of the CCCP in St Vincent and the Grenadines last week.

A new range of Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) merchandise has today been unveiled with the launch of the Gold Coast 2018 Official Online Shop – shop.gc2018.com.

Headlined by the cute and cuddly Borobi plush soft toys, the GC2018 merchandise range features 60 new official merchandise products including t-shirts, polos, hoodies, caps, commemorative pins, keyrings and outback leather hats. 

The GC2018 Official Online Shop will grow to stock over 500 different products in the lead-up to the 4-15 April 2018 Games.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Coordination Commission for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 today completed its third official visit to the Japanese capital (1-2 December). The Commission acknowledged the organisers’ significant progress in Games preparations, as well as their commitment to quickly finalise the venue master plan and integrate the five new sports approved during the IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro into their plans.

Laura Geitz appointed fifth official GC2018 Ambassador

Australian netball champion Laura Geitz has been revealed as the fifth official Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Ambassador in Brisbane today.

The announcement was made by Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

The workshops will take place 25 - 26 November at the Expert Computer Centre Conference Room located upstairs The Music Centre, Kingstown.

Former President of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC), Steve Stoute, has relinquished leadership of what he considers his baby, CANOC, after 17 years at the helm. On Sunday 24 October 2016 Stoute made good on his word given two years earlier when elected in his native Barbados, to step down after two-of the current four-year term.

Lewis was unanimously elected to serve in the capacity following the resignation of former President, Steve Stoute of Barbados.
