Team SVG swimmers takes to the water
As big named athletes enter the Commonwealth Village amidst much ceremony, the swimmers of Team St. Vincent and the Grenadines are poised to make history as they take to the pool on Thursday 24 July 2014 with Shne “Izzy” Joachim, breaking the waves in Heat 3 of the Women’s 50 meter Breaststroke.
8 and Under Swim Championships
35 swimmers took part in the SVG General Services 8 and Under Swim Championships organized by the Blue Marlins Swim Club. The event was held at the Shrewsbury pool, home of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Swimming Association.
SVG Swimmers set records
St Vincent and the Grenadines was represented by two clubs, Black Sands Swim Squad (BSSS) and Blue Marlins (BM) at the 15th annual RHAC Championships held in St Lucia April 10th to 13th, 2014.
Joachim smashes Bajan swim record
Junior Female Athlete of the Year 2013, Shne Joachim, swam her way further into the record books when she smashed the Barbadian national record in the 50m Breast Stroke event and almost broke that country’s national record for the 100m by 0.75 seconds.
