NOA Undertakes Beautification Project

The National Olympic Academy, the educational arm of the National Olympic Committee, consistent with the mandate of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has embarked on a Sport and the Environment programme.

One of the activities of the programme is the beautification of selected playing fields across the country, beginning with the scenic Arnos Vale Sports Complex, where Phase 1 commences on Saturday 6 December 2008 at 9:00am. Trees will be planted in this Phase of the project.

The planting of the trees will be preceded by a brief opening ceremony beginning and will feature addresses from representatives from the National Sports Council and the National Olympic Committee. Members of the Junior Olympians Club will plant the trees.

The Ministry of Tourism, Forestry Division and the National Sports Council support this activity.
