Rugby President to Retire

Kingstown – The SVG Rugby Union confirms that President, Sophie Goddard, has retired from her position as President of the Union. Goddard has been involved with the Union since 2011, originally organizing events and later being elected as President in 2014. Her time at the Union has seen the implementation of their schools programme “Get into Rugby”, an annual development grant secured to assist the Union, the launch of a new website and social media platform, over 7 volunteer international coaches recruited, training & employing local coaches, as well as more recently relocating to a new home in Ratho Mill, Streams of Power Playing Field.
