Future Stars Invited to Hit the Court at SVG Basketball Federation Girls Basketball Camp
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation (SVGBF) is creating another exciting opportunity for the nation’s young female athletes with its Girls Basketball Camp, set to take place on Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6, at the New Montrose Hard Court.
Designed for girls ages 7 to 16, the two-day camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, providing an engaging environment for participants to develop their basketball fundamentals, improve their skills, and build confidence both on and off the court.
Adding to the excitement is the impressive coaching lineup. The camp will be led by Sancho Lyttle, one of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ most celebrated basketball icons and a former WNBA player, alongside Vasha Adams, a Level 1 FIBA Coach and former national basketball player. Together, they will share their wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for the game with the next generation of Vincentian talent.
Throughout the camp, participants will receive instruction in shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, teamwork, and sportsmanship while learning what it takes to compete at higher levels of the sport. More importantly, the initiative aims to inspire young girls to believe in their abilities and pursue their basketball dreams.
The Basketball Federation continues to invest in youth development by creating pathways for aspiring athletes, recognizing that today’s campers could become tomorrow’s national representatives and international stars.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children early, as the camp promises to be an unforgettable learning experience filled with fun, friendship, and high-quality coaching.
