Bowling Out AIDS in SVG

Canadian expert, Colin Higgs, who, several years ago assisted the National Olympic Committee in establishing the country’s National Sport Policy, was in the State again on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 February respectively.

Higgs was here to conduct a two-day workshop on Bowling Out AIDS, a programme developed by Canadians using the sport of Cricket to facilitate educating young people, boys and girls, about AIDS and the fight against it.

Physical Education teachers and coaches were involved in the workshop. Several children were also involved in the practical session where the teachers and coaches were asked to show how they can impart to them what they had learnt.
