Cricket facilities with no marketing plan

England is due to tour the Caribbean during the period January to April 2009 and already there seems some measure of confusion being created in the cricketing world. Some analysts are convinced that the actual dates for the tour have been dictated, for the most part, by the very lucrative Indian Professional League (IPL) established a few months ago and in which the English cricketers were unable to participate, first time around. Of course the England Cricket Board (ECB) has denied this and retorted that the itinerary was agreed to before the IPL dates for 2009 were established.

Whatever about the existing furore over the dates for the tour next year the fact is that the Caribbean has much to be concerned about; at least, that is the case for some countries of the region.
