Olympic Week plans laid

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympic Committee has announced plans for the observance of Olympic Week 2015.

 

The SVGOC met with affiliates at Olympic House April 21 to agree the format of this year’s celebration.

One of the highlights of the activities will be a three-day Sports Exhibition at the Old Public Library, the Carnegie Building, in Kingstown.

The organizers of the event expect this year’s Olympic Week celebrations to be one of the most memorable.

 

The proposed programme for the Olympic Week reads as follows:

 

Sunday 14 June, 2015

– Church Service, Kingstown Evangelical Church @ 9:00 a.m.

 

Tuesday 16 June

– 10:00-3:00 Start of Exhibition of SVGOC memorabilia, SVG National Trust, Kingstown

– Table Tennis, West St. George School

 

Wednesday 17 June

– 10:00-3:00 Exhibition of SVGOC memorabilia, SVG National Trust, Kingstown

 

Thursday 18 June

10:00-3:00 Conclusion of Exhibition of SVGOC memorabilia, SVG National Trust, Kingstown

 

Friday 19 June

– Tennis at the Headquarters, Glen

 

Saturday 20 June

– Squash, Headquarters, Paul’s Avenue, Kingstown

– Athletics, Road Relay, Georgetown

– Cycling, Georgetown

 

Sunday 21 June
