Poor! Poor! Poor!

National athletes must be schooled into an appreciation for discipline, caring, self-confidence, self-respect, national pride and into what is required by way of a genuine commitment to being the best that one can be in the chosen sport and field of endeavour.

Sport is life itself. One’s approach to sport is not dissimilar to one’s approach to life itself. The outcome is a direct reflection of how the inputs have been assimilated and contoured to fashion one’s being.

Until such time as we agree to a more holistic approach to the development of sport and fit it into the broader national development process our athletes would forever be caught up in the generalised malaise that is reflected in their poor training opportunities at home and abroad and their low level of participation at regional and international competitions.
