SVG participates in CAC Games Opening
St Vincent and the Grenadines will participate in the Opening Ceremony of quadrennial Central American and Caribbean Games. This is the sixth occasion on which the country would be represented at what is the oldest multisport Games in the world after the Olympics.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Team to the 22nd Central American and Caribbean Games will be accommodated in two separate venues. Track and field Athletics and table tennis will be in Xalapa while taekwondo and squash will be in Veracruz.
The twenty one member Vincentian contingent – fifteen (15) athletes and seven (7) \boasts representation of four sports namely squash, table tennis, taekwondo and track and field athletics.
The first contingent comprising table tennis, taekwondo and track and field athletics arrived in Vera Cruz on Tuesday 11 November. Squash is scheduled to arrive on 19 November.
Competition in both table tennis and taekwondo commences on Saturday 15 November.
