Bequia All-Stars in Trinidad

 The Bequia All-Stars Team

The Bequia All-Stars invitational tour to Trinidad May 5th to 9th, 2005 was a great success and wonderful experience for the young Bequia team. The team traveled with an entourage of 21 persons, including 12 players, head coach Junior Sutton, manager Sabrina Mitchell, Referee Shem Ollivierre, Trainer Anthony Frederick, Executive member Anthony Tannis, and team supporters.

 

The team played three very competitive games in three indoor arenas as follows:

Friday May 6th: Jean Pierre Sports Complex Vs Trinidad National Junior team.
Bequia All-Stars defeated Trinidad 77 to 75. Craig Sam of the All-Stars netted the most points in the game with 30points (see article in Trinidad Guardian-Sunday May 8th-page 84).
Friday’s game was the feature match for the Opening of the Port of Spain North Zone Championships. Secretary General of the Caribbean Confederation gave a welcome address.

Action at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex

Saturday May 7th at the Maloney Indoor Arena in Arima Vs Maloney Pacers.
Maloney pacers defeated Bequia 59 to 66

Sunday May 8th at the International School Indoor Arena Vs IPSC Warriors.
Warriors defeated Bequia 56 to 54.

The Bequia All-Stars travel to Union Island for the Opening of the Grenadines Tournament this weekend.
