CAC Games 2006

Every parent can find a sport to which he/she can introduce his/her child.
The sporting culture that engulfs Colombia has now revealed itself to be as integral to Cartagena, as it is to Medellin, Bogota or Cali, all renowned sporting cities in the South American nation.
Many countries in the CACSO family aspire to host the quadrennial Games in order to bolster the chances of spreading the impressive sporting legacy to their many cities. This has been the case with the location of the 20th CAC Games in Cartagena, one of the Colombia’s most attractive tourist venues.
The hosting of the Games in Cartagena has proven that it is possible to now add sports tourism to the economy of this historic city.
The legacy now facilitates the establishment of an annual calendar of sports tourism activities that will serve to bolster the city’s economy and enhance its status within all of Colombia.
There is much value in hosting major sporting events.
