First ever Adonal Foyle basketball camp
The Bequia Basketball Association Executive Committee is all set, and the
Clive Tannis Hard court in Bequia well prepared for the first ever Adonal
Foyle basketball camp to take place this Friday August 1st. One hundred
and fifty of Bequia’ s young basketball players and enthusiasts are
registered and anxiously awaiting the camp, which promises to be a fun-
filled day of basketball, featuring fundamental skills and drills, games,
and educational seminars on nutrition and health issues affecting young
athletes. The camp will conclude with contests and competitions, and awards
will be presented. The Adonal Foyle Island basketball camp, administered by
a US based staff of 20, partners with the Bequia basketball Executive
committee to host the Bequia event. The day’s agenda will start promptly at
9am, with an address by Adonal Foyle, and Bequia Basketball President
Sabrina Mitchell, as well as Northern Grenadines representative Dr. Loraine
Friday and Deputy Director of Grenadines Affairs, Mr. Herman Belmar.
Participants will receive t-shits, shoes, and educational & sport handouts.
The free one- day camp will also provide lunch and beverages for the
registered participants.
The trio of Grenadines summer camps bounced off with the first in Canouan on
July 31st, the second in Union Island on Wed August 2nd and the last and
final camp on Bequia this Friday. Adonal Foyle, of Canouan, currently with
the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, hopes to make the Grenadines summer
camps an annual event.
