Rewarding outstanding athletes’ achievements

Ballantyne nonetheless returned to the top spot at the Annual Reggae Marathon in Jamaica completing a hattrick of victories in this event.
Adonson Shallow showed a tremendous amount of improvement during the year with two silver medals at the prestigious Carifta Games and gold at the Barbados National Championships. He established a new national record for Juniors and Seniors in the Shot Putt.
Junior Ashton won bronze at his first Carifta Games and participated in the NACAC Cross Country Championships. He won the Under 20 segment of the OECS Half Marathon. Other outstanding performances during the year came from Jadric Cummings who represented the state at the World Youth Championships, Anesha Anderson of the Barrouallie Secondary School, Courtney Williams of the St Vincent Grammar School.

Provision has been made in TASVG’s Constitution for an Athletes’ Representative to sit on its Executive. The athletes meet and determine their representative before submission to the Executive.
