5. THE ATHLETES’ COMMISSION
 
a. Shall comprise five athletes selected by the athletes themselves, none of whom should have ceased active competition in excess of five (5) years and one (1) of whom shall be nominated to the Executive.
 
b. Shall advise the Executive on matters pertinent to the well being of the athletes involved in the sport.
 
c. Shall make such recommendations to the Executive relative to the optimisation of their participation at competitions.
 
d. Shall be represented at General Meetings on the invitation of the Executive Committee.
 
6. THE SELECTION COMMISSION
 
a. Shall comprise three (3) members at least one (1) of whom shall be the Games Secretary, and another must be from the Coaches Commission.
 
b. Shall recommend to the Executive Committee, in accordance with the approved standards set by Team Athletics SVG and /or the IAAF, athletes to be considered for representation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines locally, regionally and internationally.
 
c. Shall be represented at Executive and/or General Meetings on the invitation of the Executive Committee.
 
7. THE COACHES’ COMMISSION
 
a. Shall comprise all of the athletic coaches of St Vincent and the Grenadines (whether resident in St Vincent and the Grenadines or abroad), one (1) of whom shall be nominated to the Executive.
 
b. Shall be headed by the Director of Coaching, who is appointed by the Executive.
 
c. Shall be responsible for:
– the co-ordination of coaching of athletes in the state;
– liaison with Vincentian athletes abroad;
– the organisation of training camps during vacations;
– the nomination of coaches to travel with national representative teams;
– the nomination of coaches for advanced and other coaches’ development programmes;
– the preparation and administration of a National Coaches Certification Scheme;
 
d. Shall be represented at General Meetings on the invitation of the Executive Committee.
