ARTICLE III

 

COLOURS

The colours of Team Athletics SVG shall be those on the National Flag: blue, gold and green, either singly or in any combination.
 

ARTICLE IV

MISSION

 
To establish and maintain Track and Field Athletics as the number one individual sport in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
 

ARTICLE V

OBJECTIVES

 
The Objectives of Team Athletics SVG shall be:
 
a. To stimulate the interest of all sectors of Vincentian society in the importance of athletics as an effective means of improving their health and welfare through its provision of recreation for the youths and the promotion of general fitness.
 
b. To promote the widest possible participation of Vincentians in athletics and organise and manage such activities as are deemed consistent with this, beginning with the school and encouraging the development of viable, vibrant clubs.
 
c. To affiliate with the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) and such regional and sub regional athletics bodies that are duly recognised, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and the National Sports Council/National Sports Assembly and comply with and enforce all their Rules and Regulations.
 
d. To organize and implement formal training programmes for administrators, coaches, technical officials and athletes
 
e. To acquire and maintain such equipment and facilities as may be deemed expedient to the work of Team Athletics SVG.
 
f. To liase with the Government and any other organisation(s) whose Objectives are consistent with the promotion of athletics.
 
g. To raise funds and solicit sponsorship for facilitating the activities undertaken by Team Athletics SVG consistent with the attainment of these Objectives.
 
h. To engage the media in all respects in the promotion of athletics as the most popular individual sport.
